Battle of Saratoga

Out of many important events that occured in the Battles of Saratoga,
we have found that there are three very important people that fought in the Battles of Saratoga.
Those people are: Daniel Morgan, John Burgoyne and Benedict Arnold.We will be covering all
three of these men who fought and lead armies in the Battles of Saratoga.

Daniel Morgan


Daniel Morgan commanded elite snipers who specialized in guerilla warfare. They were armed with rifles that had twice the range of british muskets.
His plan was to leave the british leaderless and lost. He was successful in doing that.




John Burgoyne


John Burgoyne was part of a plan to cut New England off from the other colonies. In Saratoga, he lost the second battle and surrendered to America.




Benedict Arnold


Benedict Arnold and his army encountered John Burgoyne and his army. When Burgoyne attacked, Benedict Arnold charged
and managed to make Burgoyne's army retreat and soon after, surrender.
